On this project in Ongar, we worked with Thistle Windows and DPM Construction to replace the front entrance and all the box sash windows for the owner of this amazing Victorian railway station commissioned in the 1860s.

Our design retained all the original character, including the arched heads to match the cambered brickwork, and the Victorian style glazing bar and sash horns, all manufactured in hardwood meranti.

This was combined with modern draught-proof brushes and our thermal-efficient 24mm double-glazed unit with an inter-bar, resulting in a warm, modern energy-saving box sash that retained all the original charm the homeowners first fell in love with.

A simple white timber box sash just radiates so much class, charm and character.
